In the same file location open, "Fallout4Prefs.ini". You want to change the 1 to a 0, then save and exit. In the documents file, open Fallout4.ini and it will show a text file, all you want to do is under "Display" it will show "iPresentInterval=1". First you want to open two file locations, first is your normal Fallout 4 Directory, (refer to Fallout Directory if unsure how to) and second is in "Documents-My Games-Fallout4". Warning~this will be in your ini files so if you don't want to mess around in the files skip this part, but highly recommended to do so. ![]() Meaning it will not go over 60fps and we don't want that. You may of not known this but Fallout 4's frame rate is capped at 60. This is the same process with all mods on Nexus, unless it requires you to download it manually. Simply press Mod Manager Download and it will automatically extract to your Vortex mods. It will have two options with Main and Optional file, stick to the main file unless it's a patch or add-on that is needed for the main file to work. Next to "description" their is files, which is where we are going to get the download our mod from. With this mod, it requires F4SE, which is why it's so crucial to download before beginning modding, becuase it's used for most mods. Once you have clicked on your mod, check in the description if the mod need's any other mods for it to work. To start installing any mods, head to Nexus Fallout 4 Mod's [From here your free to download whatever mods your heart desires, you can search your mod with the search bar or just look at most popular of all-time, which is what I tend to do. We have done majority of the work, now onto downloading mods and installing them to Vortex. These are the only two places you are allowed to boot your Fallout 4 from now on. Right next to the big Fallout 4 icon, you will see Fallout 4 Script extender that should have a blue file icon. The other way you can boot your Fallout 4 is with Vortex, simply go into your dashboard, which is at the top left under game. Also helpful if you rename the shortcut with f4se on the end to help you remember. You can adjust the files icon with right clicking the shortcut and pressing "change icon", then find your old fallout executable file and just copy the icon. This is one of the two options you can now boot your Fallout 4 from, either create a shortcut by right clicking on "f4se_loader.exe" for the dropdown and selecting send to~desktop. ![]() With the new files in your directory, you will see a executable file named "f4se_loader.exe". [Open the zip and select all files within it, then just drag and drop all the files straight into the Fallout 4 Directory. You will need a extracting software, which I recommend WinRAR. To start, head over to F4SE and download and extract the zip. Most mods require Fallout 4 Script Extender, therefore we shall install it.
